Welcome to Vagari’s 7th winter of sailing. We have put 8,000 miles under Vagari’s keel during those cruises but this year like last year won’t be a high mileage year. We just don’t have the lust for the long cruises that we did when we started cruising but we still enjoy living on board and sailing near our homeport. Welcome aboard! We hope you enjoy our blog. Your comments, questions and suggestions are appreciated and encouraged.

THE PLAN

To leave San Carlos, Mexico as soon as the hurricane season is over (Nov. 1st +/-) and follow the ideal weather south to about 100 miles North of Acapulco, Mexico. Then as it starts to get a little too warm head back north, returning to San Carlos in April or May. We plan to return home for a few weeks sometime in February or March to take a break and let the IRS know how much fun we are having. The Sea of Cortez and the West coast of Mexico are some of the best cruising waters in the world during this season. Warm water and air, good diving, great sailing, and just enough other cruisers so you can have a very social cruise or get away from it all. Some family will visit us in Puerto Vallarta in mid January.
