Welcome to Vagari’s 7th winter of sailing. We have put 8,000 miles under Vagari’s keel during those cruises but this year like last year won’t be a high mileage year. We just don’t have the lust for the long cruises that we did when we started cruising but we still enjoy living on board and sailing near our homeport. Welcome aboard! We hope you enjoy our blog. Your comments, questions and suggestions are appreciated and encouraged.

Welcome

Welcome to the second season of the Cruise Vagari blog.

To re-learn the “black magic” of posting to a blog I posted below the letters we sent our kids during our shakedown cruise in May-June of 2004.

We are all thinking of you here in SaddleBrooke. We still do the morning walk, now 5 days a week. 11 walkers were at our house for Thanksgiving. It was sort of pot luck and we had Australian Southern Cross lamb for the main course. Phil brought the wine, Mike & Doris the vegetables, the Reale's the rolls and appetizers, and Ned & Jan Meyer the pecan and the key lime pies. Then on Saturday Nov. 26 many of this same group, along with some others, climbed Picacho Peak. A great hike!
Rhea, we hope your knee recovery is progressing along. Barb Lightenheimer is where you were several months ago, in therapy 3 times a week. She has 2 more weeks at St. Joe's therapy, then back here to SaddleBrooke for therapy here.
Other than that not much news. Wish we were with you where it's warm. 28 degrees this am. We go to Carolina for Christmas.
Happy Sailing,
Dean & Jan and all the morning walikers.
